Sri Guru Granth Sahib Verse
ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਆਨ ॥
Know that as long as you place your hopes in others,
जब लगु घट महि दूजी आन ॥
ਤਉ ਲਉ ਮਹਲਿ ਨ ਲਾਭੈ ਜਾਨ ॥
You shall not find the Mansion of the Lord's Presence.
तउ लउ महलि न लाभै जान ॥
ਰਮਤ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਰੰਗੁ ॥
When you embrace love for the Lord,
रमत राम सिउ लागो रंगु ॥
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਬ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਅੰਗ ॥੮॥੧॥
Says Kabeer, then, you shall become pure in your very fiber. ||8||1||
