Sri Guru Granth Sahib Verse

ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸੋ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੂਆ ॥

One who keeps the Naam in his heart becomes cool and calm.

जिसु नामु रिदै सो सीतलु हूआ ॥

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਮੂਆ ॥੨॥

Without the Naam, both life and death are cursed. ||2||

नाम बिना ध्रिगु जीवणु मूआ ॥२॥

ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੋਟ ਕਈ ਸੈਨਾ ॥

One who keeps the Naam in his heart, has many millions of armies on his side.

जिसु नामु रिदै तिसु कोट कई सैना ॥

ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੈਨਾ ॥

One who keeps the Naam in his heart, enjoys peace and poise.

जिसु नामु रिदै तिसु सहज सुखैना ॥
