Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse

ਜੰਗ ਜਗੇ ਰਨ ਰੰਗ ਸਮੈ ਅਰਿਧੰਗ ਕਰੇ ਭਟ ਕੋਟਿ ਦੁਸੀਲੇ ॥

In that crucial war, (bodies of) hundreds and thousands of heroes were cut into two.

जंग जगे रन रंग समै अरिधंग करे भट कोटि दुसीले ॥

ਰੁੰਡਨ ਮੁੰਡ ਬਿਥਾਰ ਘਨੇ ਹਰ ਕੌ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਤ ਹਾਰ ਛਬੀਲੇ ॥

The decorative garlands were put around Shiva,

रुंडन मुंड बिथार घने हर कौ पहिरावत हार छबीले ॥

ਧਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਤਹੀ ਤਿਤਹੀ ਅਰਿ ਭਾਜਿ ਚਲੇ ਕਿਤਹੀ ਕਰਿ ਹੀਲੇ ॥

Wherever goddess Durga went, the enemies took to their heels with lame excuses.

धावत है जितही तितही अरि भाजि चले कितही करि हीले ॥

ਰੌਰ ਪਰੇ ਰਨ ਰਾਵਿਜ ਲੋਚਨ ਰੋਸ ਭਰੇ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਜੀਲੇ ॥੨੪॥

All those, with lotus eyes, who did not tremble but remained alert like lions, were annihilated by Shakti.(24)
