Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse

ਜਗੈ ਜੰਗ ਤੋ ਸੌ ਭਜੈ ਭੂਪ ਭਾਰੀ ॥

With you the dread of war increases.

जगै जंग तो सौ भजै भूप भारी ॥

ਬਧੇ ਛਾਡਿ ਬਾਨਾ ਕਢੀ ਬਾਢਵਾਰੀ ॥

The great rulers pray to you and, with the swords and arrows, Annihilate the armies.

बधे छाडि बाना कढी बाढवारी ॥

ਤੂ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਾਨਾਛ ਮਾਰ੍ਯੋ ॥

Guising as Narsing, the Sphinx, you smashed Harnakash.

तू नरसिंघ ह्वै कै हिरानाछ मा्रयो ॥

ਤੁਮੀ ਦਾੜ ਪੈ ਭੂਮਿ ਕੋ ਭਾਰ ਧਾਰ੍ਯੋ ॥੫॥

And incarnating as Varah in the form of a boar, You bore the weight of the earth.(5)

तुमी दाड़ पै भूमि को भार धा्रयो ॥५॥
