Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse

ਬਨਤਾ ਕਦ੍ਰ ਦਿਤਿ ਅਦਿਤਿ ਏ ਰਿਖ ਬਰੀ ਬਨਾਇ ॥

Banita, Kadaru, Diti and Aditi became the wives of sages (rishis),

बनता कदरू दिति अदिति ए रिख बरी बनाइ ॥

ਨਾਗ ਨਾਗਰਿਪੁ ਦੇਵ ਸਭ ਦਈਤ ਲਏ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੧੮॥

And Nagas, their enemies (like Garuda), the gods and demons were born to them.18.

नाग नागरिपु देव सभ दईत लए उपजाइ ॥१८॥
