Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse
ਆਸਨਿ ਦਿਜਨ ਕੋ ਧਰ ਕੈ ਤਰਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਨਵਾਇ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ਬੈਠਾਯੋ ॥
आसनि दि्जन को धरकै तर ताको नवाइ लै जाइ बैठायो ॥
ਕੁੰਕਮ ਕੋ ਘਸ ਕੈ ਕਰਿ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਬੇਦਨ ਕੀ ਧੁਨਿ ਸਿਉ ਤਿਹ ਲਾਯੋ ॥
The seats were presented to Brahmins respectfully, who, reciting Vedic mantras and rubbing saffron etc. applied it on the forehead of Vasudev
कुंकम को घस कै कर प्रोहति बेदन की धुनि सो तिह लायो ॥
ਡਾਰਤ ਫੂਲ ਪੰਚਾਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਅਛਤ ਮੰਗਲਚਾਰ ਭਇਓ ਮਨ ਭਾਯੋ ॥
डारत फुल पंचांम्रिति अछत मंगलाचार भयो मन भायो ॥
ਭਾਟ ਕਲਾਵੰਤ ਅਉਰ ਗੁਨੀ ਸਭ ਲੈ ਬਖਸੀਸ ਮਹਾ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਯੋ ॥੨੧॥
They mixed also the flowers and panchamrit and sang songs of praise. On this occasion the ministrels, artists and talented persons eulogized them and received awards.21.
भाट कलावत अउर गुनी सभ लै बखशीश महां जसु गायो ॥२१॥
