Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse
ਲਵ ਕੁਸ ਦੋਊ ਤਹਾਂ ਚਲ ਗਏ ॥
लव कुस दोऊ तहां चल गए ॥
ਰਘੁਬਰ ਸੀਅਹਿ ਜਰਾਵਤ ਭਏ ॥
Lava and Kusha both came forward and performed the funeral rites of Ram and Sita
रघुबर सीअहि जरावत भए ॥
ਅਰ ਪਿਤ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਤਿਹੂੰ ਕਹ ਦਹਾ ॥
अर पित भ्रात तिहूं कह दहा ॥
ਰਾਜ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਲਵ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਰਹਾ ॥੮੫੫॥
They also performed the funeral rites of the brothers of their father and in this way Lava assumed the royal canopy over his head.855.
