Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse

ਰਉਰ ਪਰੀ ਸਗਰੇ ਪੁਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

रउर परी सगरे पुर माही ॥

ਕਾਹੂੰ ਰਹੀ ਕਛੂ ਸੁਧ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

There was great tumult in the whole city and none of the residents was in his senses

काहूं रही कछू सुध नाही ॥

ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਡੋਲਤ ਦੁਖਿਆਰੇ ॥

नर नारी डोलत दुखिआरे ॥

ਜਾਨੁਕ ਗਿਰੇ ਜੂਝਿ ਜੁਝਿਆਰੇ ॥੮੫੧॥

The men and women staggered like the warriors writhing after falling during fight in the battlefield.851.
