Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse
ਸਾਇਕ ਜਣੁ ਛੂਟੇ ਤਿਮ ਅਰਿ ਜੂਟੇ ਬਖਤਰ ਫੂਟੇ ਜੇਬ ਜਿਰੇ ॥
As soon as the arrows are discharged, the enemies in still greather numbers gather and prepare to fight even with the shattered armour
साइक जणु छूटे तिम अरि जूटे बखतर फूटे जेब जिरे ॥
ਮਸਹਰ ਭੁਖਿਆਏ ਤਿਮੁ ਅਰਿ ਧਾਏ ਸੱਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਚਾਇਨ ਫੇਰਿ ਫਿਰੇਂ ॥
They move forward and run like a hungry person here and there they are roaming hither and thither, striking their weapons.
मसहर भुखिआए तिमु अरि धाए ससत्र नचाइन फेरि फिरे ॥
ਸਨਮੁਖਿ ਰਣ ਗਾਜੈਂ ਕਿਮਹੂੰ ਨ ਭਾਜੈਂ ਲਖ ਸੁਰ ਲਾਜੈਂ ਰਣ ਰੰਗੰ ॥
They fight face to face and don not run away seeing them waging war even the gods feel shy.
सनमुखि रणि गाजै किनहूं न भाजै लखि सुर लाजै रण रंगं ॥
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਧੁਨ ਕਰਹੀ ਪੁਹਪਨ ਡਰਹੀ ਸੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਉਚਰਹੀ ਜੈ ਜੰਗੰ ॥੫੯੯॥
The gods seeing the terrible war shower flowers with the sound of ‘hail, hail they also hail the fight in the war arena.599.
जैजै धुनि करही पुहपन डरही सु बिधि उचरही जै जंगं ॥५९९॥
