Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Verse

ਸ੍ਰਾਪ ਕੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਡਰਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮੰਦ੍ਰ ਏਕ ਉਸਾਰ ॥

Coming to know about the curse, the king was frightened. He got and Abode constructed.

स्राप को सुनि कै डरिओ न्रिप मंद्र एक उसार ॥

ਮਧਿ ਗੰਗ ਰਚਿਯੋ ਧਉਲਹਰਿ ਛੁਇ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਬਿਆਰ ॥

That palace was constructed within the Ganges, which could not even be touched by air

मधि गंग रचिओ धउलहरि छुइ सकै न बिआर ॥

ਸਰਪ ਕੀ ਤਹ ਗੰਮਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਾਟਿ ਹੈ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਇ ॥

How could the snake reach there and bite the king?

सरप की तह गमता को काटि है तिह जाइ ॥

ਕਾਲ ਪਾਇ ਕਟ੍ਯੋ ਤਬੈ ਤਹਿ ਆਨ ਕੈ ਅਹਿਰਾਇ ॥੭॥੧੬੩॥

But within the due time, the king snakes came there and bit (the king).7.163.

काल पाइ कटयो तबै तहि आन कै अहिराइ ॥७॥१६३॥
