ਸੁਨੇ ਬਿਪ ਬੋਲੰ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਆਪ ਰਾਜੰ ॥

ਤਜਿਯੋ ਸਰਪ ਮੇਧੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੈਰ ਕਾਜੰ ॥
Tajiyo Sarpa Medhaan Pitaa Bari Kaajaan ॥

With many heroes, enduring the resolute and weapon-wielders,

ਦੁਰਿਯੋ ਜਾਇ ਦੁਰਗ ਸੁ ਬਾਰਾਣਸੀਸੰ ॥
Duriyo Jaaei Durga Su Baaraanseesaan ॥
The king of Kashi concealed himself in his ciadel,

Gheriyo Jaaei Phaujaan Bhajiao Eeka Eeesaan ॥13॥181॥
Which was besieged by the army of Janmeja he meditated only on Shiva.13.181.

The war began in full swing, there were many slayings with weapons

Gire Adhu Vadhaan Sandhaan Bipaataan ॥
And the heroes, cut into bits, fell in the field.

Gire Heera Cheeraan Su Beeraan Rajaanaan ॥
The warriors experienced bloodbath and fell with their clothes filled with blood.

Kattai Adhu Adhaan Chhutte Rudar Dhaiaanaan ॥14॥182॥

Many Kshatriyas of reputation fell in the battlefield.

Bajee Bhera Bhuaankaara Darukiaa Nisaanaan ॥
The dreadful sound of kettledrums and trumpets resounded.

Kare Paijavaaraan Parchaarai Su Beeraan ॥
The heroic warriors were shouting and making pledges, and also striking blows.

Phire Ruaanda Muaandaan Tanaan Tachha Teeraan ॥15॥183॥
The trunks and heads, and bodies pierced by arrows were roaming.15.183.

The shafts were penetrating into the steel-armour

ਕਰੇ ਮਰਦਨੰ ਅਰਦਨੰ ਮਰਦਮਾਨੰ ॥
Kare Mardanaan Ardanaan Mardamaanaan ॥
And the heroic warriors were destroying the pride of others.

Katte Charma Barmaan Chhutte Chaur Chaaraan ॥
The bodies and armour were being cut and the flywhicks were being trampled

And with the blows of weapons, the bold warriors were falling.16.184.
